There was a time when Hollywood was all Jewish but now when it's trumpeting against Trump's temporary Muslim Ban, it seems there are more Muslims than ever in Hollywood now than ever. I have just gone through a list of Muslim Celebrities working in Hollywood and they were 31 in numbers. Some of them were world beaters at one point of their career and still command respect undoubtedly. And although I condemn Trump's ban and appreciate Meryl's speech given other day at Globes', I strongly believe these guys don't do anything else other than paying lip services to their fellow brothers and sisters in distress. They have the power, money and means to really counter such negative connotations and yet they only give speeches. And that's still a good thing for that shows that at least they are empathising but does it really do anything? There is also an aspect of these protests that troubles me. For 5-6 years now, both Yeman and Syria are ravaged with war and civil uprising. Yeman is known for its water shortages and you could only think about the plight of Yemanites. Syria has been completely ruined by ISIS and hundreds of Muslims are being killed almost everyday. And I haven't seen a single statement from a single Hollywood celebrity condemning these practices of USA. Why? Because they were ordered by Nobel Peace Prize Winner Barack Obama. It's good your and other governments are providing shelters to these refugees but they don't wanna be refugees at first place. They had a country and it was beautiful and peaceful but only USA hadn't shown their greedy side at the very first opportunity given, this crisis would have been well over. Remember Iraq? And Hollywood, the greediest and most capitalist of all institutions in the world are siding with Muslims and Middle East now......Well I gotta admit, that's nothing more than crying over spilt milk now and Hollywood, better be proactive next time around.
Friendship is an aspect of life that’s not controlled by its beholders. Ideal friendships, well they are the things of past now. Many a times we have seen our parents or their parents talking about their old great friends and how amusingly they tell us about their bonding, the moments they spent together and we see a ‘priceless’ twinkle in their eyes…..that’s something which is missing from modern friendships. There are terms & phrases like ‘yaar tu to apna bhai hai’, ‘yaar tu to ghar ka aadmi hai’ which even today invoke something very beautiful inside our hearts but we all know that the feelings underneath them are ‘hollow’, they are just mere words, ‘emotionless’ and ‘impassive’. Well who am I to comment on such an indefinable ‘qualitative’ perspective? I’m one of you, those wretched creatures that are still in need of true, great friendships. Well I certainly can’t say that I haven’t got friends. I’ve got friends, plenty of them in fact, and some of them are real great. I s
